Natural Floor by Naturi
Draining by nature. Durable by design.
Natural Floor is a permeable, resin-bound natural-stone paving system for driveways, pool decks, patios, garden paths, and courtyards. Rain passes straight through the surface and back into the ground. It’s a patented system from Sorgiva® of Italy, and Naturi offers it in the Americas through the Naturi Artisan program.
For hardscape, landscape, and home improvement pros.
Where does the rain go?
Concrete and asphalt shed water. Rain runs off, collects on the surface and never reaches the soil beneath. That leaves puddles on patios and paths, patio drainage problems to fix, and less water for the planting around them.
Natural Floor is permeable paving that lets rain pass straight through the surface and back into the ground.
Your clients get a finished space with the look of natural stone that takes a downpour in stride. You get one more surface you can say yes to.
Permeable paving with three strengths
Natural Floor combines drainage, strength and a natural-stone finish in a single surface.
Drainage
Water passes through the surface and back into the ground, following the natural cycle.
Strength
Resistant to loads and made to last.
Natural stone finish
Quartz, marble and stone in finishes you can tailor to every project.
Permeable paving that keeps draining
Many permeable surfaces lose their drainage as fine debris fills the gaps. Natural Floor was designed to resist clogging over time.
Where a site needs more, it can include an additional drainage layer, with no grates or drains to fill up with leaves and debris.
How the resin-bound stone system is built
Its durability comes from two elements working together: a fiberglass mesh, and reinforcing fibers mixed through the draining layer. Quartz, marble and stone give it a natural finish that looks at home in any landscape.
- Natural finish
Selected quartz sand, marble or stone, bound with epoxy resin. - Draining layer
Split quartz and reinforcing fibers, bound with epoxy resin. The quartz lets water through. The fibers add mechanical strength. - Fiberglass mesh
Reinforcement for strength and stability. - Anti-root fabric
A porous fabric laid over the ground. - Base
A properly prepared, compacted substrate.
Natural stone colors and finishes
A wide range of natural shades and blends, laid in custom shapes and finished to suit the setting. Every project can be its own.
Colors
Natural shades and combinations.
Finishes
Multiple finishes to choose from.
Permeable paving for every outdoor space
Natural Floor adapts to the layout and use of each site. One permeable natural-stone system covers the whole property, from the driveway to the pool.
Permeable Driveways
Natural Floor can be built for vehicle traffic. Driveways use thicker layers than patios and paths, and rain soaks through instead of running off, with no grates or channel drains to fill with leaves.
Pool decks and pool deck resurfacing
Lay it around a new pool, or resurface an existing deck with a natural-stone finish that lets water drain through. The deck is prepared and inspected first, then the system goes down following the Natural Floor method.
Patios, courtyards and plazas
Large open areas stay dry underfoot after rain, with the look of natural stone and no puddles to sweep away.
Garden paths and bike lanes
A smooth, permeable surface for walkways and paths that blends into the landscape around it.
Hotels, resorts and campsites
Hospitality projects use Natural Floor for walkways, common areas and the spaces between buildings, where drainage and a natural look both matter.
How Natural Floor is installed
- Prepare the base
Prepare and inspect the substrate, then lay the root barrier. - Lay the system
Place the fiber-reinforced draining layer and the fiberglass mesh, following the Natural Floor method. - Finish
Work and compact the natural-stone finish surface. - The result
A permeable, durable surface with a natural look.
Natural Floor is installed by Naturi Artisans, who build and back their own work. Naturi supplies the materials and consults on the method, with Naturi construction advisors available by phone and email.
Tested performance
Laboratory values for the Natural Floor system.
14 MPa (about 2,030 psi)
Compressive strength
7 MPa (about 1,015 psi)
Flexural strength
These values come from the manufacturer’s laboratory testing in Italy. Ask Naturi for the test documentation.
The Natural Floor patent grew out of years of Sorgiva® work on drainage systems, first for swimming pools and the paving around them.

Permeable paving questions
What is permeable paving?
Permeable paving is a hard outdoor surface that lets rainwater pass through it into the ground below, instead of running off. Natural Floor does this with quartz, marble and stone bound in epoxy resin over a fiber-reinforced draining layer.
What goes under permeable paving?
Natural Floor is built in layers. From the ground up: a properly prepared, compacted base, a porous anti-root fabric, a fiberglass mesh, a draining layer of split quartz and reinforcing fibers, and the natural-stone finish on top.
Is Natural Floor porous?
Yes. Water passes through the finish and the draining layer beneath it, then back into the ground.
Is Natural Floor the same as resin-bound gravel?
It belongs to the same family: natural stone bound with resin. Natural Floor adds a fiber-reinforced draining layer and a fiberglass mesh beneath the finish for strength.
Can you drive on permeable paving?
Yes, when it is built for it. Natural Floor driveways use thicker layers than patios and paths to carry vehicle traffic. Ask Naturi about driveway projects.
Can Natural Floor go over an existing concrete pool deck?
Yes. An existing deck can be resurfaced with Natural Floor. The Naturi Artisan prepares and inspects the deck first, then lays the system following the Natural Floor method.
Can permeable paving go around a pool?
Yes. Pool surrounds are one of the main uses for Natural Floor. Its patent grew out of Sorgiva®’s work on drainage for swimming pools and the paving around them.
Does permeable paving clog?
Many permeable surfaces lose drainage as fine debris fills the gaps. Natural Floor was designed to resist clogging over time.
Who installs Natural Floor?
Naturi Artisans. They build and back their own work. Naturi supplies the materials and consults on the installation method.
How much does permeable paving cost?
Each project is priced by the Naturi Artisan who builds it, based on the site, size and finish. Contact Naturi to reach the Artisan serving your area.
